A bit of discussion about town regarding the whether changing the format for the 2 main days of the QTC carnival to just one major Super day worked .

On retro it was stated the Lightning and the TJ Smith were "lost" in amongst the other majors of the day.

With the focus on the Straddie, Derby and I suppose  to a lesser extent the Cup the others races did not receive the same amount of publicity as they have in the past when these races were conducted on the long weekend Monday.

Also plent of talk about possibly adding another race or two on the programme.

I enjoyed the day and thought it worked well and I'm sure it is here to stay .

The crowd was BIG - that's all that matters to me.

From memory it was way up on last year's.

But whether it was 15, 18, 20, 22, or 25 K, I don't think it matters a jot.

Was a great day out.

Look, to quell all the speculation and bickering,I Will release the official crowd size for Super Saturday

Eagle Farm was in excess of 20k, but below 50k, and I am getting this figure from a good authority
