Make sure you go for a swim in the harbour with an opened wound. Beautiful weather up there at the moment for swimming.

The vic is still there flatout very popular with backpackers for cheap meals and ah is correct lots of longrassers (people who live and sleep in the longrass)there are a stack of pubs along mitchell st the tap is in a good spot crocodylus is also worth a look on mitchell street heaps of crocs and local wildlife in a museam type of thing you can actually swim in a cage with the crocs if you want theres 4 or 5 crocs in there about 6 metres long

I went up to the Derby a few years back, it was a lot of fun smiley Mono you can't miss the Mindil beach markets on the Thursday night, grab a drink and some food and sit on the beach and watch the sunset, just beautiful
