Racing NSW Chairman of Stewards, Ray Murrihy, this morning, assisted by Racecourse detective Bob Nicholson, conducted early morning trackwork inspections at the Wyong Racecourse.

The inspections included the auditing of safety equipment and stablehand licenses and the inspection of a number of on-course stables, to ensure compliance under the rules. 

In addition, 10 samples were taken from licensees to test for prohibited substances. 

Mr Murrihy reported: "Inquiries into the use of outdated safety equipment and the current registration of a number of licensees will be conducted in the near future."
