Jockey Greg Ryan Lodges An Appeal [25/06/2009]


Licensed jockey Greg Ryan has lodged an appeal against his suspension for 10 meetings (Tuesday, 30th June 2009 to Thursday, 18th July 2009) after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards of careless riding under AR137(a) in Race 1 (Maiden Plate, 1000m) at the Tamworth race meeting on Sunday, 26th April 2009. 

RNSW Stewards finalised the inquiry at Scone Racecourse on Monday, 23rd June 2009. 

Greg Ryan has applied for - and been granted - a Stay of Proceedings until the day the appeal is listed for hearing, which is yet to be notified.

The appeal has been scheduled to be heard at Racing NSW's head offices on Wednesday, 8th July 2009 at 9:30am.
