Who is the king of Ante-post tipping?  Free entry, plenty of prizes, giddy up!

How:  Pick THREE horses for each of the following races: Caulfield Guineas, Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate.  Pick FIVE horses for the Melbourne Cup.  (total 14 horses).
Scoring: 50pts for a winner, 30pts for 2nd, 20pts for 3rd, 15pts for 4th, 10pts for 5th and 5pts for any other runner (late scratchings don't count).  Dead heats in the race will result in split points (ie. Dead heat for first = 40pts for 1st and 2nd)
Deadline:  All selections must be in by noon on Saturday 22nd August.  You may edit your entries before then.  Any entries edited after this time will result in disqualification.
Final rankings done by points, with dead heats split by a count back (most winners, then most seconds etc).

I'll donate $20 for a quadie, picked by me to the winner.  The only reason I say picked by me is that it saves time.

BTW please remind me if I forget.

The risk with putting in too many races is it can put people off.  Definitely go with Cup, Cox Plate, Cup.  Maybe also one of Guineas and Derby and one of Thousand Guineas and Oaks?  (Would be nice to finish with the Cup though).   5 races is plenty.

I suggest

Caulfield Cup
Cox Plate
Derby
Melbourne Cup
Oaks

That way it'll be one race per day

Then everything settled 2 days later   Thumb Up

Does the share 50/50 rule apply for the prizes?

This is always a good idea imo.

It's the way I do it.

Imagine supplying a $20 quaddie prize and it lobs and pays 50k

Agree.  It's always implicit in the prizes I donate: that's half the point...establish who is a good, in form tipster, piggyback on their selections the following week, pop the Champagne!

I was going to suggest EVERY "group 1" Handicap in the spring. From Sydney to Melbourne.
