PHELAN READY won the Magic Millions and the Golden Slipper earlier this year.  He then failed in the AJC Sires.

Since the Summer, PR's trainer Bruce McLachan has left us.  The horse is now in the hands of Bruce's son, Jason, who was previously in a training partnership with his Dad.

PR resumes at Rosehill today in the Premiere.

What are we to expect from PR this campaign?  Will he take the extra step which is required for 3yos to remain in the top bracket?  Or will he join the long list of MM and Slipper winners who quickly fade from the limelight?

A great run by the Slipper winner.

One of only a handfull all day that made ground from back in the pack on what looked to be a leader bias track

Haven't had him rated as well as I have him tomorrow for a very long time.

Open race but he looks one of the top chances and he's a good price at $10+.

Drawn the outside rail in the Newmarket.  52kg.

$151.

Definitely a place hope, IMO.

Would need a lot of the field to cop a boatload of interference to place for mine.

Would much rather be on Woorim or Buffering

Well at those prices one doesn't expect them to run the drum, but he's got a hope.

Yes, vintage dealt with.

He can afford to be smart.  He backed BUFFERING the drum.  Great Idea

Nice effort by Phelan Ready. Buffering looked home but you can't say Hay List didn't deserve to crack it.
