Extra 90 meters...

For sure, give me a while and I can name plenty of top sprinters from the past that were Champs up to 1100 but caved in over 1200

This is a horse that won over 1110 last week by 4Ls going away from them right? You guys are probably right I'm still very green at this, but jeez you see something win that easy, & it only cops 2.5kg still over a sprint distance  shy

Tev, apparently you were not the only one to back it .  That's racing mate.

If it was easy, we'd all be millionaires  biggrin

I actually didn't, just think it should have won, on it's last run.

Comments from Mark Read IAS Sports:

Best Bet Fab Fevola

By far the stand out contender in this race. NEVER MIND THE SHORT ODDS, THIS HORSE IS THE NEXT BEST THING TO A CERTAINTY!

Cheers

Got a bump and didn't like it apparently.

From the SR:

When questioned regarding the performance of FAB FEVOLA jockey J. Byrne stated that the horse began well and travelled kindly however, after receiving a bump from STARTLING PLEASURE (App M. Hellyer) at the 900m FAB FEVOLA did not impress J. Byrne in the way it travelled in the middle stages and furthermore failed to show its customary acceleration in the home straight and proved disappointing. Trainer B. Guy highlighted that the gelding performed similarly when second up at its last campaign when second to BEVAGNA. A post race veterinary examination of FAB FEVOLA failed to reveal any abnormality.

We'll get a better price about over 1200m next start.

The winner might be pretty good as well.

I couldn't believe how fast out of the gates he was.
As soon as i saw that i knew there would be trouble come the final 400m. Turns out it was more like the final 200 but still he was defiantely running on empty.

Take nothing away from the winner (PRINCESS QUALO) not a bad run to the post.

Brisbane followers will know better than I but just looking at the figures. It led and ran just under 35 secs for the 1st 600m, that's not fast for Doomben is it?, then got beaten 3.8 lengths. Was its first run over the distance, but at the moment isn't worth backing at 1200m imo.
