What a stunningly great run today. Folks, this is the best 3yo to grace the track going as far back as Gammalite....god bless his heart If he drew Captain Joy marble or got the suck run of Tin Tin he would have destroyed them. He's from the same family as Our Sir Vancalot , Jikk Addios Can't wait till he takes on the big guns

OL...In alot of situations the trainer doesn't have the final say on what the horse is doing.
When you have a set of greedy owners just worrying about $$$$ and not the horses best interest then you get a bad combination especially when you have that with a topliner...
Sure ......The topliner will win races now and then on pure ability but won't race anywhere near it should on a consistant basis due to ongoing problems that can't get fixed....

Poor drive Why on earth do you give up the 1X1, flog your horse to the lead in this grade Run of the race was Captain Joy, he's back to his best

Mate, my daughter too ill and I had to put her to bed early
I missed the race. I'm sure I'll see a replay on the harness NZ web site in the next few days

Where the hell has this bloke got to?
Can I assume after he was flogged into the ground he's taking a long nap?

Wily this article was the last we heard of him:
Bay Succumbs To Leg Injury 25 June 2010 A leg injury is the reason behind Bonavista Bay's scratching from the Golden Reign FFA Logo Bonavista Bay won't race for the rest of the 2009/10 season
Bonavista Bay won't race for the rest of the 2009/10 season.
A leg injury is the reason behind Bonavista Bay’s shock scratching from tonight’s $20,000 Sky Racing Golden Reign Free-For-All at Melton’s Tabcorp Park. Owner Bob Proberts told the Herald Sun’s Adam Hamilton that the boom four-year-old was found to have some filling in his near side front leg earlier in the week with a subsequent scan revealing the extent of the damage. He is now bound for the spelling paddock, ruling out a crack at next month’s $200,000 Group 1 Chariots Of Fire. “He’s got a small tear in the suspensory ligament,” Proberts said. “He can’t do anything for three months and will be scanned again after that.”
