Next year's Dubai Cup meeting in late March will mark the opening of the new Meydan Racetrack.

Anyone contemplating attending?

Yes, Ambassador Travel have a package tour in the offing.

The Cairo-Nile Cruise option looks attractive.  Hope they have Sky over there. lol

Alcohol not a problem. A bet No. If you take these tours a bet is not totally out of the question.  wink  All websites are blocked in Dubai connected to racing sites that refer to betting. You may want to bet ante-post before departing. Amazing place, sheer opulance. Some despise the whole concept but Dubai has to be seen to be believed.

Last November in Cairo.watched a Rugby League game from Rockhampton on T.V.

Three former Sydney-trained gallopers, Aichi, Desuetude and Imvula, are set to compete at the opening of the 6.7 million sq m complex, which is being touted by Middle Eastern racing officials as a defining moment in the sport's global history.
