Watched a good TV show last night on ABC 2.

Called The Wire.  On Tuesday nights at 9.30 but you can watch a replay on ABC 2 on Saturday night about 10pm.

probably have to watch the first episode to get into the characters.

Looks like it might be a good show to record as there will be around 60 episodes.

I tried watching The Wire but couldn't get in it...but will give it another shot as I've heard some great things about it.

United States Of Tara is pretty good.

Had to laugh at Two and a Half Men the other night.
As people who watch it would know, Charlie Sheen became rich writing Jingles for products.
In this particular episode, he was going through his money as the royalty cheques were drying up, and he hadn't had much work for a while.
He was explaining to his brother, Alan, that most advertisers were using music from hit songs to advertise products these days.
He said, for instance, if they're advertising Tampons, they'd just play 'Stuck In The Middle With You'  lol   lol   lol

Can't vouch if this is true or not....the saying "Looks like it's going to be a wet weekend" originated, according to a book of origins of sayings, from a woman carrying a purse when on date with a guy ( on the weekend).

You see, believe it or not, girlfriends/ boyfriends usually only went out on social occassions on the weekend....talking 60's.

The girl carrying the purse (then ) was an indication that it was her time or the month.

Do you have Being Human over there??

It's about 3 flatmates in Bristol................ 1 is a vampire, 1 is a werewolf and the other is a ghost

It's fantastic! In one episode you can run the gauntlet of crying, laughing and hiding behind the cushion!

Series 4 of Dexter premieres in the US on September 27.  John Lithgow has joined the cast as some kind of mass killer.  Should be very interesting.

I've seen the first episode of the season and Lithgow will be a masterstroke, always plays the villan well. Just a fantastic show.
