Watched a good TV show last night on ABC 2.

Called The Wire.  On Tuesday nights at 9.30 but you can watch a replay on ABC 2 on Saturday night about 10pm.

probably have to watch the first episode to get into the characters.

Looks like it might be a good show to record as there will be around 60 episodes.

It is about cops fighting the drug war in Baltimore, and shows both sides.

I reckon to just record the first two hours on Saturday night and then decide if you are going to continue.

I'll try it again for sure.

Don't forget it is ABC 2  not ABC 1.

Bubba, not sure about the number of episodes. Only going on what the paper said.

Give it a go, it's a bit different to the norm

It's 3-4 years old at least but The Wire is without any exaggeration one of the best shows you'll ever watch.

It is easily the best cop show I have seen.

been 5 seasons so far.

FTA Nine had the rights and did what they do best to good shows. Put them on sporadically after midnight so they can air quality like 20 to 1 in primetime. rolleyes

It has been on Fox.

Grats I got seasons 1-4 for a grand total of $16 each at christmas last year.   biggrin

also at jb now you can get the complete series of deadwood for $65.

Deadwood was fantastic. While my wife is no prude, I didn't feel comfortable watching Deadwood with her and always recorded it.

It was a great show.

Glad I'm catching the Wire this time round.

My wife really loved Ian McShane in Lovejoy, that Pommie show, but might have been shocked if she seen him in Deadwood   biggrin
