Watched a good TV show last night on ABC 2.

Called The Wire.  On Tuesday nights at 9.30 but you can watch a replay on ABC 2 on Saturday night about 10pm.

probably have to watch the first episode to get into the characters.

Looks like it might be a good show to record as there will be around 60 episodes.

Killing Time is having an encore showing on TV1 this Friday night it's a crime series set in Melbourne based on a true story of Andrew Fraser a local criminal lawyer whose clients include the notorious Petingals amongst  other low life criminals.

Petingals were the subject of the earlier Aussie drama "Animal Kingdom"

KT  runs for about 8 or 10 episodes with  David Wenham in the lead and Diana Grigg as the lead female.

Very realistic show, crooked cops, prison scenes, drug dealers, sex etc although fictionalised in some respects as the disclaimer notes.

Well worth watching for those who missed it first time around. thumbsup

Watched the final episode of Dexter Season 6 last night. Thought the season as a whole was OK, although they will always struggle to top season 4 imo.

Enough happened in season 6 to generate some sub plots for the last 2 seasons to come.

Colin Hanks spolied the season for mine legal agent.  Every scene he had with Edward James Olmos showed the gulf that exists between a true actor and being an actor's son.

Yeah you are not alone in those thoughts. He was pretty awful.

I'm not one for credits etc, so I didn't even know who he was until this morning! I just thought he was a piss weak actor. Can now see the similarities with his father. Looks only of course, not the acting smiley

It is why season 4 was just so good as well. Not only a great storyline but to then have the fantastic John Lithgow in the role was just so perfect.

For the same reason it's why I love Breaking bad so much in that the two lead actors are just so brilliant in the portrayal of there characters it just sells he show so well.

Great doco on ABC iview about competitive gaming, particularly Donkey Kong and the world record, well worth a watch even if the subject doesn't interest you as the characters, not the topic, are the entertainment.

I have a 5yr old grandson who is into that sort of stuff especially "Mario games"

I didnt realise it went for 1hr 20 min until it was over. good doco though.
