Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria (TBV) invites thoroughbred enthusiasts to hear Industry experts debate the merits of Pre-Sale Yearling X-Rays.
Ever since x-rays were introduced in 2003 the debate has raged about their effectiveness in assessing soundness issues in young horses.
Six years on it is time to take stock of what has occurred since then and hear from the people that have experienced the system first hand: Trainers, Veterinarians, Auctioneers, Bloodstock Agents and Vendors.
Melissa Jackson, principal author of the RIRDC (Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation) report analysing x-rays taken from the sales will present that detailed report as well as Professor Andrew Clark who was instrumental in compiling the data.
Hosted by Anthony Mithen panelists include: Simon Vivian (Inglis), Robert Smerdon (Trainer - Aquanita Racing) & Dr. Kim McKellar (Veterinarian)
