This is probably covered somewhere but my Foxtel has been down for 12 hours and they cant get a technician here till Friday.
Prefer to access the computer when punting and dont really want to go to TAB or Pub, is there anywhere I can watch the races live on the internet.
Thanks

THOUSANDS of businesses and homes in Sydney's CBD could be without phone, internet and mobile phone coverage for up to a week after a contractor accidentally severed crucial cables.
Contractors working for Energy Australia cut through a bundle of 10,000 Telstra copper wires and some multiple-fibre optical cables near the corner of York and Erskine streets about 9.30pm (AEST) yesterday.

Then you can get the other meetings via NSWTab - click on video (top left). Then hit spot, as the radio cover will automatically start. Then click on the video link.

Seems to be problems with the Tab video link today. Can any one point out a streaming link for Sky Racing that can be watched via the web?

I'm on satellite at the Coast and all is fine. So long as my bets keep winning.

Hasn't the contractor heard of "Dial before you dig"?
When I worked in the electricity industry I saw so many of these incidents where cables were dug up.
Everyone assumes the "diggeruperer" is too blame but so many underground services,(telstra) and others were not within their required boundaries.

I think that happened on the Gold Coast last year when the cables were not where the map said they were

Grats back in the early 80's I can remember telstra just dropping their conduits on top of the electricity conduits and then leaving it up to SEQEB to back fill trenches....They were rough and ready in those days and usually were in too much of a hurry to get to the pub to finish off their jobs properly.
Also on some estates we would see boundary pegs moved out of the way whilst trenching was taking place then pegs put back into ground in "about the right place". There would be so many fences on incorrect boundaries i'd reckon.

My Foxtel went down Saturday before last. Early morning. Rang them and they said nothing wrong in my area, must be line outage at my house. Gave me all these instructions but nothing....technician will come Monday. Accepted it (as fate)
At noon, 5 hours later, noticed that I could get "Time" and "TV Guide" on remote......rang them again....."No" they said, "That is something Different"...........picture out till late monday morning. (This was the second time this has happened to me in the last year...at same time....A Saturday morning.)
Decided to wait for technician to arrive (rather than tell Foxtel my service was back up and running)......when he arrived he was abrupt....I told him I wanted my "input" tested as this had now happened twice. He said it was normal. I said what is normal. He said normal.
I told him I was pissed off with cable and wanted a dish. He said you can ask them but they won't give you a dish. I told him I didn't ring to say my service was ok, because I was sick of talking to Indians from India. He said they are in Melbourne.
**So Foxtel now sleeps 2 days a week.....its enquiries service is limited to about 14 hours a day and when you return from holidays you have to wait until early morning to get re-connected (before it took 5 mins...ring any hour) and wait up to 2 hours for connection.
My recent re-connection request....Aug 20.....they told me to wait 2 hours.
Waited the 2 hours ...Nothing.....rang them again....they connected me in 2 minutes.
Welcome back to Australia.

On a little private forum that we have, a few people tell me that foxtel is down. Anyone on here having problems? Mine is OK and I'm enjoying their new set up
