In New Zealand, Waikato Stud announced "the no vacancy sign has been put on" dual Gr1-winning & triple Gr1-placed stallion Savabeel (Zabveel-Savannah Success, by Success Express) & he "will serve a full book of 140 mares". Waikato's Mark Chittick noted: "He served around the 120 mark in his 1st 3 seasons & has secured another high-quality book this year." Those mares include: Gr1 AJC Australasian Oaks winner On Air; Gr2 Edward Manifold/Queen Of The Turf Stakes winner Ugachaka; Gr2 Matamata Breeders' Stakes winner Naturo; Gr3 Kingston Town Stakes winner Just Polite; Gr2-placed Pin Up (half-sister to 6-time international Gr1 winner Starcraft); Go Hayley Go (half-sister to US Gr1 winner Black Mamba from the family of Gr1 AJC Derby winner Roman Emperor); Viveasha (dam of Gr1 Queensland Derby winner Lachlan River); Astradane (dam of Gr3 Hawke's Bay Guineas winner Stardane); & Instant Divorce (dam of Gr2 Wellington Cup winner Megapins).

They are doing a reasonable job, he has a potential good one in Brisbane called Lady Selene. And he has one in the first at Wyong ridden by Peter Wells.

I reckon Savy Choice will give Savabeel fans a run for their money in the next from Wyong. The step up to 1350m should duit it donw to the ground.

I see Savabeel has realistic chances in 3 big Races in Brisbane today, Tullamore and The Chevron in the Brisbane Cup, Dowager Queen in the T.J. and Leading(Ok he is a roughie) in the Derby but if last weeks Oaks winner had lined up she would have been very short and hard to beat and The Chevron was a big chance here if he had got in the field, Savabeel looks like being a pretty good sire, still last year High Chapparal's won everything and wins have been a bit scarce this year (by comparison)so one swallow does not a spring make
