The SBQC, another Brisbane racing club of sorts stop.

The Saturday Brisbane Quaddie Crew

Over the last few years, post the big Melb spring carnival and with the support of some decent prizemoney increases and race series I've noticed that the Brisbane summer Saturday fields can grow, and potentially throw up some opportunities for some quaddie returns. No doubt it might well make it harder, but that's the challenge. Also, for some it's a time of punting less, but still enjoying a weekly interest. So I've suggested to a few that maybe we have a combined weekly go for a few weeks and see if we might be able to nail a result or two along the way, and if not just have some fun anyway.

A few of the "crew" have suggested, for a number of reasons, why not kick off a thread to track this little adventure. So we'll use this space to do so.

We have 8 players, who have each kicked into the bank. We will bet for 8 weeks, and then review. We will bet on the Vic tab, with flexi tickets. Our intention will be to form a ticket that gives us a possible chance across what looks some live chances, including taking a few fav's on every now and then, as opposed to trying to cover everything. So near misses, a long run of outs, and more tripods than we'd find in a camera shop are to be expected.

We kick things off today.

Quadie clubs are great fun, but you really have to trust the treasurer as you can get huge banks

I am learning a little bit from all the quad takers on this forum. Maybe it's just for convenience that everyone has multiple selections in each leg and all combinations the same unit, but surely in real life there is more variability in staking, with more on the shorter odds combos. That is the way it ought to be, I'm thinking.

Max, of course you are right. Most punters level stake not only quaddies but most exotic bets, that is why the pros still bet on them despite the higher deduction rates. If a punter has sufficient bank and can stake exotics in proportion to the odds they have a huge advantage over the run-of-mill punter ,who in reality, is just hoping for a long-shot to fill a slot to give him a "big win" .
