Richie  Callander had a few  unkind words to say on TVN  about stewards at Betfair Pk yesty being at Flemington for not making more mention of the rough house run Mr Slick had in being unluckily beaten in R 3.
Reading the stewards report doesn't throw much light on the difficuties Richie spoke about but obviously  escaped the so called eagle eyes of stewards rolleyes

But looking through their reports from  last Sat  to confirm something I thought I  spotted on a replay of R9 there was no mention of the horse I noticed.
It was one out one back to the turn and that was the end of the section for it,never saw daylight and finished hard held virtually running 10/14.

It was in yesty and ran an encouraging third at very good odds the place . thumbsup

Richard Freedy tipped it today as a horse to follow .Itsamonty

Seems  a bit pointless allowing changes in tactics to be notified so late......hardly any benefit to punters most of whom are on by this. shocked

"Stewards accepted the explanation and were also mindful under the provisions of AR135A that the connections had up until the order for riders to mount up, to notify the Stewards of any such change in riding instructions."

Gear changes are publicised well in advance riding changes should be done at the same time. Great Idea

Fine - but why no charges against the trainer.  In fact, if it WAS team riding, then the trainer should be the ONLY one guilty, as if it was team riding then she was just following orders.

Michael Walker should get life for his ride on Solarco at Bendigo today, was travelling beautifully in 5th in the 2400 race and thinks it's a good idea to take off at the 1000 in a lightning move. Hit the lead in the straight only to be collared and finishing 4th

Just watched it than, and it was a strange ride.

Why did he take off at that stage in such a fast manner, I can understand him not a wanting to get pocketed but to sprint her up like that ????

And of course the stewards ask nothing.

He must have thought he was Kingston Town.
