3. Open to all members current at 11:59pm (New South Wales time) Friday 20th November.
4. Entries CLOSE Midnight (New South Wales) Time Friday 20th November.

Rules of Engagement

1. This competition will be played on Saturday’s only.

2. Each player shall be pitted heads up against an opponent.

3. Each player shall nominate a LAY for any Thoroughbred meeting in Australia on the day.

4. The winner of each heads up match will be the contestant who nominates the LOWEST odds runner that gets beaten using the FINAL NSWTAB dividend showing for each runner…..the loser is elimininated.  Should both players selection WIN their respective races BOTH players are eliminated. Should both players select a loser that are identical prices the match shall be re-played the following week.

5. Players matched heads up cannot select the same runner. First in best dressed. Should your opponent be a "no show" you are still required to post a loser.

6. Scratchings: Should your nominated LAY be scratched after MIDDAY on the Saturday that heads up match will be void for the day and carried over.

7. One (1) reserve LAY may be nominated prior to the cut – off time.

8. Cut-off time for posting LAYS will be MIDDAY NEW SOUTH WALES TIME on the Saturday. (no exceptions…if your post reads 12:01 on my screen you are dead meat)…However, should your selected LAY be in a race scheduled to commence before MIDDAY then it MUST be posted 1 hour prior to the advertised post time….again,,,,NO exceptions.

9. The Final. The last 2 players standing shall battle it out week after week if necessary until we have the CHAMPION...should both players selection WIN their race the match will carry over.

The Prize

As a pensioner and a lousy punter I can only afford 100 bucks. (feel free to throw an extra 1000 or so in)

So, The Champion shall receive a 50/50 share in a $100 Flexi Trifecta on a race and day to be determined.

Please indicate your desire to participate.

Additional Prize:

Antitab has thrown in a $100 Quaddie Thumb Up

Chuggers has pencilled in a $50 Quaddie for January Thumb Up

Calgary is the forum LAYEM Champion

Not sure that answers Chalky's question.

What if both win? Then there is no lowest odds runner that gets beaten.

My take on it is if A lay a 1-2 and B lays at 1-1 then A is the winner of the match up
