Scene.....NSW

What interesting times.

No name trainers and middle of the range trainers getting their horses to perform brilliantly.

Some Top trainers reduced to mediocrity, save for their top priced stock.

Imagine if some of  these trainers were given the opportunity to train the TOP SHELF horses...I will name a few and name the current "hot" trainers...no particular order

Nick Olive....ever so consistent...deserves better
Tom Mulholland..the king of the West, in my book.
Brett Bellamy...performs with the most ordinary of stock.....could be a GREAT
Gary White....jumping out of his skin
Kev Moses.....ever performing
Joe Pride....superstar
Neville Voigt....the elixir it seems
Rodney Northam....amazing
Mack Griffith and brother? ..Luke Griffith....good for huge form reversals
Ken Parsons...plods along quietly
Mark De Montfort....incredible
Gerald Ryan.....crafty, love the improvements
Lee brothers....magic in the air
Cummings...Bart and Anthony...good for 20/1 plus results
Ross Godbolt....performs in his zone
M Stitt....likewise
J(im?) Jarvis.....they stand out now
J Everson.....only has a few horses
David Payne....so hot.....couple of worries....a lead bag story and a bucking heavily backed fav
Guy Walter....keeps on keeping on
Greg Bennett....deserves top quality
Peter Snowden...ASTUTE
Gary Portelli....record achiever

As for Gai Waterhouse...is she running scared?....such a big stable and hardly a runner....she is currently averaging a few runners a week(happening for too long now to disregard), a shocking stat for such a high profile, highly respected, highly charging Trainer.
I wouldn't be happy having a horse in her stable. The best Education they may receive but no accountability seems to be required.

**** you're free to add to this list of "in form " trainers.

As for syndicated horses, give me Dean Watt's plan any day,he gives them runs...exactly what a syndicate owner wants....they go anywhere  to try to win...... as for the STAR thoroughbreds...they  seem stuck in mud. ( if not up to city or provincial standard...they float nowhere else)

Tell ya what.....I'm glad you put this up, just run my + trainers and the - trainers for the last 3 months testing ROI........the gap is bloody enormous. Gonna have to adjust my settings to reflect that, being a touch too conservative.  shocked

Now that Matthew Dale is back firing just get on the bandwagon. Especially when they put the money on in the first 1 or 2 runs for him.

Ignorance and ego often see well bred horses go to the "big name" stables
