Harold Badger had 29 wins on Ajax.
Would that rate a mention on this thread?

I remember yonks ago Rod Hardwicke fell from a horse and broke a leg from memory, and was carrying the grey, purple seams of Brian Mayfield-Smith. His first ride back from injury was aboard the same horse, and it fell again Can anyone come up with the horses name?

What about this one ....... some sort of record I'd guess.
(Edit : Oops, should have known he'd beat me too it.)
Swing sensational in start 100 Brad Waters Wednesday, 9 December 2009
Cranbourne-trained 10-year-old Sensational Swing has brought the house down at Sale with a rousing win in the Australian Valve Group 0-62 (1200m) at his 100th start.
Trained by Dianne Wynne, Sensational Swing ($26) settled at the tail of the field before being brought down the middle of the track by daughter Sally to record a long neck victory over Xanthos ($5.50).
The crowd in attendance at Sale gave Wynne and Sensational Swing a rousing reception after the son of Celtic Swing completed his eighth career win, his first in 15 attempts at Sale.
Sally Wynne has ridden Sensational Swing in all 100 starts and said after the race the win was “a dream.”
“We were just hopeful he could do it today,” Wynne said. “We live in dreams and dreams are what this game is made of. It’s unbelievable.
“He’s done everything in his entire career. He’s hurt me a few times but as far as that goes, I still love him to death.”
Wynne said the early speed of the race was made to order for Sensational Swing and the dead track helped the gelding give his best in the straight to overhaul the leaders.
“A bit of pace on suited me and the track suited us as well,” she said. “At the last couple of starts, the track has been a bit hard for him and he hasn’t really let down. “On straightening when I was within striking distance, I thought ‘I’m home’.”

That Rod Hardwicke was a brilliant horseman on a front runner....loved backing him when he would venture to Hawkesbury/Gosford on the midweeks....rode some beauties at the provincials for Jack Denham and they got plenty. I remember he rode one for Garry Frazier at Hawkesbury one day and was backed from 4's into scream! Never looked like losing. On that subject, does anyone know the whereabouts of Rod Hardwicke???? Thanks
