Have solar hot water Maxy, so just mainly want normal charges 

From what I can make from that link, is we have to pay 50c a day, just for the priveledge of having electricy $50 roughly

Explains why I thought my electricty bill was going to be so low, the tech, had punched in 12c / kw, so thought  my bill was going to be $240 instead of $350 

Off-peak hot water tariff is about  40% cheaper, maybe he forgot your solar system.

Electricity prices have gone up unbelievably over the last few years. It has to be a scam    as it makes no logical sense & the rise in my bills are quite baffling.

The tariff rises over the last few years(on my bills anyway) have gone from
14.81
17.13
19.41
20.69

So I can handle that 20.69 / 14.81 = 39.7% rise so you can safely say they are charging around 40% more per kilowatt than they used to. So you'd expect a rise of 44% on your bill (40% + 4% for GST)

I did move house so the bills are for 2 different houses but we are basically the same family using the same power.

Here's the comparison!!
Old Quarterly bill,(3 bills from 4 years ago, $346,$421,$400=$1167/3=$389
New Quarterly bill,(3 bills from this year), $742,$937,$833=$2512/3=$837

$837 / $389 = 115% increase. 

The baffling part is in the new house we have all the so called 'energy friendly appliances' & 'lightbulbs' which they kept telling us will save us $ on power bills. 

Anyone else seeing these kinds of increases???? or offer explanation why the huge increase which is really a mystery to me.   

...and they will go up even more as the Carbon Tax kicks in. Don't forget EZ that as an electricity user you have a "black hat" on your head, just like the generators.
