I haven't had a bet for some months. I have mostly been a ratings type bettor. In my opinion ratings have had their day. When and if I decide to start punting again I am going to have at most 2 bets per Saturday and possibly Wed nesday depending on quality. I am going to have $200 on each pick with possibly an all-up of $50-$100. Any opinions on this method.

Yeah well........ Brennan alright if you ignored the $13 SP max stipulation, I had  something on it $40+ on betfair as it came out as a bet in my general betting rigmarole. But, technically, not a bet for this system.

It throws up horses with 'apparent' bad form, the 12/1 stipulation is the 'insurance' that someone else ( the bookies ) thinks the form is not as bad as it looks. Look at the second selection for the day, Willo's Wish at Nowra, form looked poor, well in the market though and got beaten a head.

Was only stirring.  The rest of the field in Race 1 had no better form than Brennan, I suspect.

Something had to win.  The trick is to find it by fair means or foul. lol

Good ratings will still be working well in 20 years time. Just have to be consistent with bets and disclipined. Too many punters chop and change.

Because of bad luck and bad rides you need 4-5 bets a week at least to ride out the bumps.

If you like 4 horses narrow it down to 2 and they both get unlucky and the other 2 win it can be frustrating.

I wouldnt have a rigid system saying only 2 bets.
