Blue Diamond runner-up SEIDNAZAR has his first progeny running this year.
One who's come to notice is DERIPPA who ran a great 3rd at Rosehill on debut. She's in the first at Kembla today.
Another first-starter ran 3rd in NZ this morning.
I've got a share in one by the sire.
Any views on Siednazar's prospects?

Yeah, he went OK, Matt. I don't expect any horse I'm associated with to be much good, though.
He raced greenly, copped a couple of prats, but stuck to his guns in the straight.
He's pulled up well and was looking for oats this morning.
As mentioned, his dam has thrown middle-distance runners.

I'm waiting on evidence that there's any benefit from that approach, Matt.
I'm happy for my expectations not to be fulfilled though.

From bloodstock.com.au
Goldcat eyeing Brisbane riches By Glenn Davis Brisbane Wednesday 10 February 2010, 5:31pm
Trainer Danny Bougoure will give serious consideration to a Group One campaign during the Brisbane winter carnival for Goldcat following the colt's narrow win at Eagle Farm.
Goldcat, ridden by Christian Reith, scored by only a neck over Nastro Blu in Wednesday's Channel 7 Plate (1300m).
The son of Catbird, who was a $25,000 buy at the Magic Millions sales, is part-owned by Darryl Steinback who formerly owned the Bougoure-trained Scenic Peak.
Scenic Peak won almost $1 million in prizemoney for Steinback who runs a plastic fabrication business.
Scenic Peak won 12 races from 39 starts including the Group One Emirates Stakes (1600m) at Flemington in 2002.
Goldcat's victory ended a dry run in the city for Bougoure who had not won in the metropolitan area since Blazing Hearts was successful at Doomben on October 31.
Bougoure is aware of the huge jump in class from a mediocre midweek maiden to the winter carnival but believes his youngster is up to the task.
"He's a good horse but he's very green," Bougoure said.
"He still needs a lot more education but I'm thinking of putting him away now and he might come back to have a crack at the TJ Smith."
Bougoure has no doubt Goldcat will comfortably handle 1600 metres when the TJ Smith is run at Eagle Farm in June.
"He'll get 1600 metres on his ear but if he doesn't come back for the winter he'll make a very good three-year-old next season," he said.
Bougoure gave Goldcat his first start in the Magic Millions Prelude (900m) at the Gold Coast on January 2 but he failed dismally finishing last to Spirit Of Boom.
Goldcat subsequently finished seventh, almost six lengths behind the winner Wonderful Lass, over 1200 metres at Doomben on January 30.
Bougoure sees no similarities between Goldcat and Scenic Peak, who along with former champion sprinter Falvelon, propelled the Eagle Farm trainer into national prominence.
"I can't compare them as Goldcat is so green I still can't get a good guide on him," he said.

DD, Your bloke looked a nice type and he showed a fair bit of ticker on Wednesday, you should have some fun with him.
Bougoures opinion of his must give you some confidence. The TJ Smith on the radar for Nastro as well?

Oh, I would be very very pleased if he even got into a race such as that, Grega.
Munce seemed pretty keen on the horse, but I'm not getting carried away. Hard to gauge the quality of the field, although I'd rather have him at the moment than the $600,000 purchase that ran 3rd.
As you saw he fought on very well, and was blowing for quite a while after the event. Reverse the positions on the track, and it probably reverses the result. There's not a lot of races around for him , but he might get a run at Dbn on Saturday week over 1350.

vadim.
Think you might have the financial assessment transposed, though.
I'm waiting to get into one of the Cantantes progeny.

Carrying the Nastro Blu colours, Mark Wallace's filly DERIPPA won the first at Newcastle yesterday.
This is the first win for the progeny of Seidnazar.

Yes mate. Nice win. Pleased for the Seidnazar team.
She looked to have the toppy covered on weights, and she was ridden impatiently at WF.
All's good. Just get ya Qld visa in order.
