I have an idea for a project on the Albion Park dogs, and before I start putting time into it, I was wondering what the future holds for the track.

What's the latest, are they going to be there for any length of time or is development of that site and a new track still on the cards?

Given there are only 2 remaining dog tracks in SEQ, it is hardly likely they will stop racing there until a new venue is up and running, which wouldn't be soon.

Gone from 5 tracks to 2 in a decade, they're really on the  downhill slide.

I thought that the original idea was to build 2 tracks at Logan - a 1 turn & 2 turn - which would takeover from Albion Park (and maybe Ipswich as well).  However, I think that it is now considered as a replacement for the Gold Coast and Beenleigh, so Albion Park is OK.
