Mo Bernard is a name from the past. He had the good horse Valuate.

Yes Bubba will never forget that one

After that race Mo lost him to Bart but it never won again.

He pulled off some big plunges when he came to Australia.Valuate won a race in Sydney, I think before the Metropolitan. A couple of years later he brought another horse which was well backed in the Melb Cup but I cannot remember its name .

Such a long  time ago,I think Loch Court was Mo's last good horse Was a mare if I remember correctly.

And won't be seeing his colours today it's scratched.

Expecting to see the green,gold band and cap as used by the late Mo Bernard today was a non event .NZ visitor Samui Star's colours are nothing like Mo's originals they are lime green gold band a pale imitation indeed.
