Top six in Fixed Odds, let's see how many start

SECESSION
ROULETTES
ELIMBARI
SHES GOT GEARS
STAR WITNESS
SWEET CHEEKS

All but one start, one on third line, one on fourth line of betting, three now out of the window.

A couple might start, but you'd be feeling sick taking the odds on offer on 18th Jan

I should have noted them in the above.

You'd be happy enough with Star Witness. That would be it.

Think the draw will be crucial to the Colt whereas the filly has speed to cross from an outside barrier, she had a lot more up her sleeve today than the Colt,  considering she did it at both ends with ease, the colt drew the rails and got out at exactly the right time, she will probably get the same run in the final, he is most unlikely to draw as well and get the same run in transit which he will probably need to beat the Filly, it is her home track as well, still it will be a race

Don't necassarily think the filly is a better horse, if it was a match race and they were the only 2 starters different story, still would probably back the filly but without confidence but it is not a 2 horse race there will be 16 starters so the draw will make a difference, personally not overly impressed with 2 year old racing anyway!!

But you seem to be assuming that she will get and easy lead, she may well not with a mixed field.

777 did I say she would lead?? if I did it wasn't what I meant, thought I said she would have the speed to cross from an outside barrier if she had too, may sit outside Crystal Lilly  or drop in behind her (Assuming that CL draws inside her) she led on her ear today, put a space on them inside a couple of strides without much pressure from her jockey, she was far from flat out leading today,  she could have led by 5 lengths if so desired, obviously comes back under her rider and can be ridden on a piece of cotton, the colt is pretty good too, he may have the speed to cross, just hasn't been ridden that way so who knows??

Got ya E S.  Thumb Up  Certainly will be interesting. If the colt gets the sit from a good draw he'll be in the finish.

The filly for mine was the better win.
She set the pace and finished the race under more of a hold. the colt had the pace set. Having said that, colts vs fillies back the colts unless the filly is a champion

Check the times fellas.
Benetau came home a length or two quicker, after having to push his way into clear running, and the overall
time of the race was virtually the same .
His was the better run.
Not knocking the Psych...great debut. She could improve also.
But there is something in B's eye.....

There are 2 type of horses who break track/class records.
Ones who set the pace from the front, running along and doing them their self.
The other type has the hot pace set in front, then come with a quick run because the work was done for them.

The filly did all the work as was eased down still breaking the class record, the colt had a hot pace set for him and got the runs.

I said before the filly was the better win, she did all the work while the colt had the work done for him.
But you always back the colts against the fillies unless the filly is a champion
