Rhonda Seymour is a 59yo lady jockey from Hughenden in NWQ who is off to Ballina to ride in  feature race this week  in honour of a pioneer lady rider whose name escapes me momentarily.

RS was interviewed today on Radio TAB and she has ridden around 700 winners which is a significant achievement seeing the areas she supports race only once a week and many close down during the summer months.She did mention her husbands trains but didn't catch his name.There is a western trainer "Nippy" Seymour who may be the lucky guy.

No doubt the media will profile Rhonda and her companions as the race draws closer.Good Luck to all the girls.
