Noticed  Twigerre unplaced in R8 Sat mentioned in the stewards'report as follows

"Race 8: Subsiaco Hair NMW - 1200m

"R. Wiggins, rider of TWIGERRE, reported that in the early stages of the straight his mount had a tendency to lay in, and after receiving contact to the hind quarters from BIONIC ROCK, his mount was then held up between RED MESHACH (L. Cassidy) and SHUDULE GEE (L. Rolls), which resulted in him being unable to fully test his mount until near the 100m.



A post race veterinary examination of TWIGERRE failed to reveal any abnormalities."

So the jockey squares off before the stewards  have asked any questions  and they then  get the vet to examine the horse.

Will be interested to see what it does next time. wink

Arsenal, I think he's the guy who had a reasonable galloper - won midweeks and maybe Sat - a year or so back.  Wife Laura is jockey and used to ride the horse.
