Group ONE Competition

Rules

i) Each player starts with a bank of 500 units.

ii) Investments can only be made on Australian gallop races which are GROUP ONE RACES ONLY.

iii) Investments may commence prior to the Lightning stakes on the 30th January 2010 and finish with and including the COX PLATE.

iv) Only one entry (nic) per player.

v) UNLIMITED number of forumites may take part, However you must have entered from day one - 30/01/2010

vi) The maximum investment on any single race is the higher of 25 units or 10% of the player’s bank at the beginning of that days racing, as long as the player has sufficient funds.

vii) Players cannot make total investments for a day totalling more than the amount available in their bank at the beginning of that days racing.

viii) Investments can be win, or eashway however not totally more than 10% of your bank.
 a) please highlight the RACE, NAME and NUMBER and HORSE NAME and NUMBER.

ix) Investments can only be made in whole units.

x) Investments for a particular day must be posted by noon Sydney time, however if an investment is made on a race with a starting time earlier than 12.30pm Sydney time, investments on that race must be posted at least 30 minutes before the starting time of the particular race. (Edit: this rule will be adhered to 100%. If your early race is 12.15 and you post at 11.46 it won't count. If you post at 12.01pm it won't count. The time showing on the post is the time taken. No concession will be made for computer/server problems etc.)

xi) For clarification, if a player is betting on a race with a start time prior to 12.30pm Sydney time, they may post their bets for that particular race in the required time and then post bets for later races up to the noon deadline. ( of course the fact this is limited to GROUP 1 races makes this rule obsolete )

xii) players are not to edit posts.

xiii) ONLY ONE SELECTION per race

xiv) If there is a conflict between names and numbers in any bet, names will be taken.

xv) If more than the maximum amount is bet on any race or committed for a day’s investment, bets will be counted in post order until the maximum is reached and then any further bets will be cancelled.

xvi) Dividends used will be NSW TOTE prices

xvii) If a player’s bank drops to a level less than one unit, the player is eliminated.

xviii) The competition will run until and including the COX PLATE

xix) To be considered for a prize a player must have a total investment throughout the competition of at least 500 units.

xx) I reserve the right to interpret the rules as I see fit throughout the competiton.
