Well after today's effort I think he deserves his own post.

The theory is you can only win, but of course you can make your opposition look very average - that he did.

He wasn't missed by too many on his debut and followed up today. Gave them a flogging - by 7 lengths. Wasn't flash away, 4L off them at the turn, he just skipped away in the straight.

Interestingly he's not nommed in the Aust Guineas. Surely he'll be nommed for Sydney features.

Don't think anyone's writing him off, though some do seem to be taking an extra bit of happiness out of him losing (tall poppy maybe?), but i do think most see him as a sprinter only now.

I thought his run yesterday was under par, but i am certainly not writing the horse off. Anything that has Occys and Lonnys blood in it must be considered in anything it contests.

What exactly do you bring to the forum Gin? I don't see any intelligent talk from you, only shit stirring? The shootout might have been a bit optimistic but this dog will be a champion and if its over 700m.... so be it.  Anyone can sit behind a screen and bitch and moan and put others down Gin, but until you actually start having an opinion that didn't fall out your ass.. enjoy the banter andy wink

I guess it's the old saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink bleh

Ah so it's not the shoot out now? revising are we? moving the goal posts? No doubting he has ability but labeling slow beginners future champs is always fraught with danger  wink

Oh yes Gin we're all just like that.

Remember the circular room with no corners or whatever it was?  wink

He could still win a shootout. His half brother did and Mantra Lad wasn't showing this much promise at a young age. Mantra Lad ran down Queen Lauryn. No one else has ever run her down  wink

Might have inherited Daddy's shyness for the big occassion?

Have to say I was very dissapointed yesterday - thought he was our next out and out superstar.

I will make 4 observations from the radio call as I have not seen the race yet.

Denman will win the All Aged, Doomben 10,000 and Stradbrike treble.

Umm did you see Lonhro beat Sunline or his Australian Cup win?

He was a good sit/sprint horse but to say he simply a good sit/sprint horse is harsh.

he clearly didn't see his Ryder win after backing up from the Australian Cup
