Well after today's effort I think he deserves his own post.

The theory is you can only win, but of course you can make your opposition look very average - that he did.

He wasn't missed by too many on his debut and followed up today. Gave them a flogging - by 7 lengths. Wasn't flash away, 4L off them at the turn, he just skipped away in the straight.

Interestingly he's not nommed in the Aust Guineas. Surely he'll be nommed for Sydney features.

I will make 4 observations from the radio call as I have not seen the race yet.

1 Linten is outstanding.

2 Denman will win the All Aged, Doomben 10,000 and Stradbrike treble.

Well 1 out of 4 aint too bad.  I suppose Denman has a chance in an All Aged Stakes if the field is small and lacks any early pace--like his old man he is simply a good sit-sprint horse

Denman will be much better off taking a sit and coming off a good pace.

I would have thought George Ryder, All Aged and Doomben 10,000 would be a more realistic treble.  He might win the Stradbroke, but that is always a lottery based on weight/luck in running.

Who is this Linten you speak of?

Given he resumed in Jan I think it's safe to say Snowden will have lost his marbles if he's still campaigning him around Qld carnival.

He's prob got three options...take the Nicconi route and freshen up for the TJ Smith and Galaxy.

Continue a well tread path...goto the George Ryder with the possiblity of Doncaster.

Or focus on the All-Aged could freshen straight into it or via the TJ Smith.

Which option he goes will tell you how Snowden rates him at 1600m. I'm favouring he'll goto the George Ryder...sit and sprint race which we'll suit him down to the ground - if he runs well there he gets another crack at a G1 over 1600m.

TJ Smith and All Aged isn't a bad option though.

I still can't fathom the "run to suit", IMO Linton will give the Caulfield Cup a real crack this year.

Umm did you see Lonhro beat Sunline or his Australian Cup win?

He was a good sit/sprint horse but to say he simply a good sit/sprint horse is harsh.

There is no point leaving anything in the horse just so Godolphin can take him and ruin him, Ya might as well get everything out of him now, whilst ya still can.

I think some people are missing something here,

The vet examination, said he had the thumps, and some respiratory problems, and suggested he be scoped  what

If he has any sort of infection, I doubt he will be racing on  Undecided

Not quite that simple Matt, you would know that.

Most times horse need to go on a course of anti biotics that flaten them, and most need to go to the paddock to recover properly

I think Andrew Bensley reported the horse was fine this morning.

wow everyone is so keen to write Denman off after one average run what... Linton flew late and came home well and was certainly impressive, but dont underestimate Denman, we will be seeing more of him

Don't think anyone's writing him off, though some do seem to be taking an extra bit of happiness out of him losing (tall poppy maybe?), but i do think most see him as a sprinter only now.
