Well after today's effort I think he deserves his own post.

The theory is you can only win, but of course you can make your opposition look very average - that he did.

He wasn't missed by too many on his debut and followed up today. Gave them a flogging - by 7 lengths. Wasn't flash away, 4L off them at the turn, he just skipped away in the straight.

Interestingly he's not nommed in the Aust Guineas. Surely he'll be nommed for Sydney features.

read your own post Steve, the fact that he come back from such an injury proves that he was looked after doesn't it???? The horse was hardly racing with a broken Pelvis was he?? Obviously he had the best of everything to help him recover, no expense spared wouldn't you say?? and all that without any expectations that he would ever race again, that is whhat I call a man who really cares for his horses, thanks for proving my point Steve much appreciated biggrin

Don't think Gallic broke down, just Lloyd wouldn't risk him if he showed he was not at his very best, he is retired and being well looked after

I think he won the MV cup and was headed for the melbourne cup a few weeks later.

Given the way he won the MV cup I'm sure you'll find he was at his best.

In fact I'm sure we can google a search and you'll find he went amiss and thats why the cup was off the agenda

Bart tried it with Saintly and didn't even get him to the track, Freedman did it with Super who bowed both front tendons twice before he ever did what he did on the track, Bloody McEvoy broke down and his missus pushed him back to work ASAP
get over it!!

Why would the Japanese want to buy an Australian  stayer( So You Think aside)?Surely they are far more astute than that.

More likely Macau or mainland China if indeed he was sold overseas.
