Yes, I've always held the view that there should be a YESTERDAY TODAY TOMORROW arrangement up top.  Maybe there's a space issue. chin

I guess we'll get used to hitting Racing.

Is this changed already ?

Yesterday Tomorrow Last race results Scratchings News Info Radio tab Help

I like the fact when you open up racing it has everything there laid out ofr you already.  Thumb Up

Matt

The point related to having the option to immediately see the day's full card (after going into a particular race) by hitting a single button (such as, TODAY).

Dan will have a pile of stuff on his desk after all this. lol

I remain of the view that it's a significant improvement.

Well done, UNi. Thumb Up

You want roulette on the site, GM, so you can send them broke in your spare time?

Dozen faults but it's any improvement  lol

How so?

The old site was much easier to use.

GM, the idea is to make modifications to implement new stuff (such as fixed price on same screen) There's always needs to be tinkering to get it right. The programmers are doing their best to address the problems.

I want to know is what are "shortened odds"? which is next to a few tote odds prior to the race. Is this not the real tote odds?

they dont offer fixed price on smaller races which is 6 days a week. Seems a lot of trouble for a worse website.

The other BIG improvement to this new site is the betting history which was virtually non-existent prior to this.

"Logged on to Netbet Pro..nothing different , but logged on to public site all changed. Hope I do not have  my software re-programmed for  the "nth" time."

Netbet Pro will eventually be replaced, but the initial release will be backwards compatible with existing file formats so that existing programs can still work. The old file formats may eventual be phased out in favour of more flexible formats, but if this is done, it will be done gradually.

Another point this brings up is for those that maybe "scraping" the website for data.  As you may well know, this can be fraught with issues - especially when the website changes at all.  For this reason, we have opened up our XML data for you to hit directly - making things quicker and easier for you and less bandwidth for all.  Please visit http://unitab.com/content/info/xmlfeed.html for more information.

"Dan, Still think when you log on you should be able to see your account balance. At the moment I have to keep scrollling down to find it. Maybe I'll get used to it."

I'll pass that one on and see what people think - cheers.

"I want to know is what are "shortened odds"? which is next to a few tote odds prior to the race. Is this not the real tote odds?"

On the previous website, tote prices that shortened were indicated by a different table cell shading.  Instead we now have a down arrow (soon to be upgraded to a new version of the image to make it clearer).

"The other BIG improvement to this new site is the betting history which was virtually non-existent prior to this."

The "Account" area of this site is one place that will see a lot of improvement still in future versions as we enable more functionality and fine tuning of your options on how you would like the website to work.  We realise that one size does not always fit all.

Cheers,
Dan Crane.

Does this mean eventually I will need to get my programmer to alter my program. Only last year the program had to altered to allow for the introduction of flexi betting ..each time this "upgrading" is done it keeps costing me money for the re-programming.

Shall I compare thee to a summers day.
In spite of the faults that NSW has, one of the biggest pluses is their FLEXI betting. This is percentage betting.
Box 3 numbers in a Trifecta for $1 in NSW costs $1 and the dividend is 1/6th. QLD costs $6 for 100%.
Box 4 numbers in a First Four for $1 in NSW costs $1 and the dividend is 4% roughly. QLD costs $1234 for 100%.
Minumum bet is NSW is 50 cents, and can still be in a flexi.
With an account in NSW, QLD and NZ I am able to lose in 3 places. Lucky I.

LOU you wrote...Since Unitab has been bought out by Tatts (Victorians), I see a similar occurrence here, and I believe the new website is not a patch on the old one. There are minor improvements, but ONLY minor.

The registered head office of both Tabcorp and Tatts Group, as you say, might be in Melbourne but both companies are on the ASX so their ownership ( shareholders ) might live in Kings Cross Sydney or even in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane those landmark suburbs in those northern cities.   lol lol
