If Denman does not run i'd be happy to take as short as $1.80 this far out about Carrara.

He simply leads, he simply bolts in.

Interesting thought process for Snowden...does he look to the challenge and a potential G1 or go for the soft kill en route to his main goal.

The 3YO's in the Lightning should give him some confidence and when you look at the Orr, save TT & HOD there are quite a few staying types resuming.

I think he'll go the soft route. They want the Guineas - will certainly take it as a positive lead if he goes the harder route.

Carrara is nommed in the Orr as well...might he dodge Denman.

Ditto with Denman, although he simply sits off the pace. Do you agree Matty?

Denman is all but a confirmed starter here. 70% likely to run in this.

I have taken $1.92 for Carrara to finish in the top 2.  Although Denman should win, I still give him a small yelp and he has actually got a better placing % than Denman in his career to date.

Is there anything which could trouble me?

Very hard to go past the obvious 2 but looking at the sectionals from last run

Deman - 800m in 44.91, last 200m in 11.55.
Most Immediate - 800m in 44.95, last 200m in 11.54

I looked at that too Tevez. But he got beaten 5 lengths. So he was bludging at the back and then ran on. I know the 1400m will suit and I like the horse- I backed him in the quinella last start with Denman and can't possibly see him turning the tables. Although I suppose this discussion was about who would run second so maybe I went off one race too early.

Something interesting I just noticed.

On Sportsbet, the fixed odds on Denman's race have been taken down. The only race in Syd, Melb, Bris. And the Guineas market is also down.

Is there trouble?
