In fairly broad terms here are some of the benefits of racing in Singapore:

1)      Compared to Australia the prizemoney levels are extremely good.

·         Maiden races there are worth S$65,000

·         Class 5 horses(Saturday country horses in Australia) race for S$35,000.

·         Class 4 (Provincial class horses) race for S$55,000

·         Class 3 (Mid Week to Sat horses) race for S$75,000

·         Class 2 (Saturday Class horses) race for S$95,000

·         Class 1 (Saturday Class or better) race for S$125,000.

2)      Singapore now has 25 – 30 Feature or Mini Feature races catering to all age groups and distances ranging in prizemoney from S$150,000 up to S$1,300,000 (Singapore Gold Cup).

3)      With the introduction of the new Sky Racing International Channel in Australia the coverage will be more substantial than ever before.

4)      Owners incentive rebates are significant. Basically if your horse does not win or run last the owners receive a S$900 rebate offset against the monthly training bill. Training fees average out at around A$3000 per month plus entry fees etc.

5)      Anyone can race a horse there and access on racedays is very user friendly.

6)      The Turf Club is also planning to increase prizemoney levels either later this year or certainly next year.
