I dunno if there's already a thread for such stuff.

If so, please merge this one with it.

Depends on what your top paddock looks like  biggrin
One behind me bit steep, get a bit of speed coming back down though, getting up there might be interesting

Anyone else done this?

Did some shopping today, and loaded perishables into the fridge.

It's "bin day" tomorrow, so during the afternoon I cleaned out a few items that had been growing in the fridge, put them in the wheelie bin and placed it on the footpath.

Settled down for a meal of smoked salmon tonight.  Went to get it from the fridge.  Nowhere to be found. chin  Ahhhhhh.  Quick trip to recover it from the garbage bin so meal could continue.

Sad

Anybody know, if you can amplify the output of a surround sound system ?

I have a 5.1 surround system, that is slightly under powered, and would like to increase the volume with out replacing the whole system.

Would need to amplify 5 audio channels, front left, right, center, and the two rears what

Anyone have any intelligence on this.

The IQ Box puts out signal in AV format, but I need it to be converted to RHF to go into another room (through a cable).

Simplest way to achieve this?

What type of box do have? (ie. the model number) Haven't you got an RF out on the box?

Wyatt, I don't have it yet - because the current Fox IQ has just the single outlet, and that's in AV (I am told).

DD, on the IQ box the only outputs (TV) you're probably going to have are one HDMI and two SCART's. You could use the spare one/s to run a cable to another TV, but that would need to have one of those as an input.

Thanks, Wyatt.

The Fox man came to install it the other day, but I pulled the pin when he said we couldn't put it into the wall cable (as I have at present).

Will investigate further.  Appreciate your efforts, though.

DD, you can go this way, an RF modulator from Electric Dicks, $39.99. SCART input, UHF output which you would plug into your existing cable wall socket to connect to the other TV.

Wyatt

Just to update you.  Dick Smith were most helpful.  I obtained one of the modulators you recommended after much discussion.

But...although I'm pretty sure it will do the job I require, I haven't been able to get any success.  I have no doubt this is due solely to my lack of understanding of things, plus I wasn't in the mood to stuff up what IS working. lol

So....I have my TV man coming Wed AM.  He says he has the device which he knows does the trick.  It's $140. unsure  I can get a refund from DS, if needed.

Will give you a final report later in the week. smiley

Thanks again for you help.

DD, the only hard bit I think would be tuning the TV (remote) to the UHF channel, but it should pick it up when you do a re-scan for channels on the TV and that should be the only channel it picks up.
