Bart in the pre-race inteview on Sky when pressed by Hoss about her chances today.."punters should have a little each way on her". Should have listened to him.

What a win! I cannot see a candidate to match her as the races go further than a mile.

And yet another good 3yo from the current crop. 1st and 3rd in the Newmarket today it should be pointed out.

My bet Gigas missed the start noticeably and had to hustle up. Was beaten a length or less in the end, and it was a very good run. Won't sack her on that effort. What is it with Waterhouse horses and the starts at the moment.

You guys get excited easily. Winner was was fully wound up, all bar one horse finished within a length and a half , 2nd horse was 100/1 and finished as well as the winner.

Looks like a very dodgy form race going forward.

When you say fully wound up Antitab, what do you mean? Given she was first up and being campaigned in Sydney  chin

I think a top rating More Joyous would beat a top rating FP over a mile Elvis.

A couple of things with MJ. She is by More Than Ready. I know the dam side can stay, but there MTR more known as a sire of sprinters (Ready To Lift and Benicio being a couple of exceptions).

And there seems to be two MJ's (IMO at least). She can win by 6 one week and then turn around two weeks later against the same opposition and struggle - gutsy win yesterday but she won't always win those tight finishes.

Given the target seems to be the Doncaster, maybe the connections are of the same thinking?

The stable declared her and starting taking the double figures from the moment the markets went up and were still backing her yesterday. (Pity I wasnt smaart enough to cop the tip) From that its safe to assume she was very forward.

Apart from Faint Perfume they were hardly the A graders amongst the fillies were they ?

As Antitab said it was a very bunched finish, I thought the run of the 3rd horse was the run of the race.

Think Irish Lights goes very close if not wins if ridden down the outside rather through traffic ont he rail.
