W.A. CHAMPION FILLIES STAKES - 1600 METRES
Of $175000 and $1100 trophies.  1st $113750 and trophies of $500 to owner $300 to trainer $300 to jockey, 2nd $35000, 3rd $15750, 4th $7000, 5th $3500. (GROUP III) For three years old Fillies. No Allowances for apprentices.

Looking forward to this, if FYEO can get the trip she wins again. She has been settling well after early on being an on pacer so think she's much better equipped now.

Didn't see the race, don't think she is a miler though.

Nah 1400 is her best. Was an on pace dominated day though also and she got right back.

Regardless, she was always lay of the day yesterday mate.  smiley

If this race is an indication of the riding ability of WA jockeys they have a lot to learn. The race resembled the stampede at the rodeo in Calgary( Canada ).
Horses were knocked all over the place

I wouldn't sack her on that, she hit the line hard from a mile back with leaders or on pace dominating most of the day.

Off topic slightly but the winner is out of the mare 'Ski Lodge' who was trained by Bob Thomsen? and part owned by a forumite ..... just trying to remember what his nic on the forum was  chin

A Kennedy got off light with only 4 weeks plus $2000 fine IMHO...cost me more than the $2000 he got fined.

Sound advice. Good to see For Your Eyes Only win again at a distance which was a big query.

Not many 3 year old fillies would have as many wins as her now! (9)
