Interesting to note that the trifectas on race one at Warwick Farm, in a four horse field, paid better on the 3 TAB's than the First Fours on each individual TAB. I am aware they are different pools, however in effect the winning combination on both bets is the same. The simple explanation for the smaller First Four dividends is the extra takeout from the pool of the First Four than the trifectas.

It just shows punters are naive to the takeouts on the various bet types. Ugh ...was not that put up by Peter V'Landys at the Productivity Commission hearing ?

Naive....some punters actually bet on pretty looking horses.

Naive....some punters are swayed by early tote moves....when, actually, the horse has  a zillion owners and they've all had a few bob each way.

Kim Waugh horses are a good example. Owners are usually pushed in,one run too early...just to tamper them a bit.
(Will probably change...now that I've recorded it)
