To all members on the forum,
The Gun Punters Club starts again next week for 2010.
Cost is $14 per week. This basically covers the whole Punting Year. March-Nov.
This Club is great for social punters who want to have fun with their betting.
It runs similar to any other punters clubs, 4 members have turns at selecting bets each week (rotating basis). Whatever returns are stockpiled to be distributed in early November. How it differs is you are also competing against other members. The Member who gets the best returns for the year is the 'Gun Punter' & receives a cash prize & trophy for their efforts.
Also included are
Footy Tipping Comp (1st + trophy & 2nd prize)
Sports Predictor Comp (1st & 2nd prize)
Melbourne Cup Sweep (1st,2nd,3rd prize)
Gun Punters Club Merchandise
Social Day Out (Meet other members & enjoy Free Drinks & nibblies)
Other various smaller comps throughout the year

If $14 is beyond your budget, goes halves with a mate only $7 each.

In 2009, luck deserted OL, missing 1 leg of a multi or 1 leg of a Quaddie a few times.

For the record OL was a fully paid up member in my club in 2009.Paid all of his fees by August 2009. He is not re-newing his membership in 2010 due to being short of money. I am only writing this as current forumites might think he is a member again & thus not want to be involved in a Club that has OL as a member. Even though OL did the right thing by my CLub last year, I understand he did the wrong thing by many on the forum with the Calcutta debacle that happened in November last year. Many may have saw his name on the list from 2009 & been turned off from joining my club.

2007 everyone got back about 170% of what they put in. + comp winners got more. Good year!
2008 everyone got back about 60% of what they put in + comp winners got more. OK year.
2009 everyone got back about 20% of what they put in + comp winners got more. Bad Year.
Like all Punters Clubs you have good years & bad years, depends on the members bets. Overall it's about having fun on the punt & comps for little outlay. I can't guarantee we'll win, no one can guarantee that.
Money can be paid up front or monthly. Some people like to pay up front as it gets it out of the way all at once. Others like to pay monthly.

To bank account. I'm emailing everyone out details tonight as it starts this week-end. If you are interstate & can't make it to the Annual get together, then money for that is also refunded.
Last year was at Broncos Leagues Club. This year might be at the track. Will see what the consensus is.
