They're still persisting with Crystal Lily this prep. Brained the field last time over 1100m(maybe that win swayed connections to continue on), though I thought she had an easy lead in the Blue Diamond and was run over.

think she had had a month between runs.

Poor training effort from what I heard

CL's best is over less but really a lack of opposition.

The trainer regrets not running her in the prelude, I think that is clutching at straws, there is a massive class differnece between the Diamond and the race she won.

They should put her away and aim her at next years Oakleigh Plate.

There was no easy lead in the BD, go and have a look at the sectionals. . There is a reason that the 2 that have raced since who were on the pace in the Diamond , Crystal Lily and Shaeeq have both bolted in  and the 2 that raced at the back Secession & Williw Creek have been beaten.

Thats a very good point, The slipper is highly likely to be an even higher pressure race than what the Diamond was, The winner will come from the rear, Unless one of the sprinting types is a super class sprinter they will be run over.

Waterhouse declares her Slipper horse
Clinton Payne
Tuesday, 9 March 2010

Champion trainer Gai Waterhouse nominated a two-year-old as Tulloch Lodge’s best bet at Randwick on Saturday.

Waterhouse expects Zutara will take a "power of beating" in the Sweet Embrace Stakes and Glyn Schofield is the replacement rider for Nash Rawiller after he was suspended at Warwick Farm on Monday.

Waterhouse is likely to have two runners in the race, Zutara along with My Amelia but it was Zutara who she put on top.

Waterhouse said it is vital that Zutara can take the $75,000 winners prize from the Sweet Embrace, as the trainer wants the race to be her last Golden Slipper lead-up.

Zutara is currently 19th in the Golden Slipper order of entry.

“She’s really a top class filly and a great chance of winning this race,” Waterhouse said.

Waterhouse also said My Amelia is working well and the stable expects a good effort “but Zutara’s going better”.

My Amelia is a better 2yo than Zutara, thats my tip, she looks oustanding to me. I am not sure she has an entry in the Slipper ?

I thought Zutara was enormous against the pattern last time. Will be on her here and already am in the Slipper.

Intriguing Slipper build up this year I think - different formlines and plenty of opinions!

How impressive was she today?? Just a tick slower than the colts but looked a much better win. Eased off the pace then sprinted fast. Ollie told TVN he'd ride her if connections accept and pay the 150k for the Slipper.
