Sherpa Tenzing looked good first up on the weekend - wonder if they'll head to Syd or Adel.

He walking up as we speak.

Could be carried by a Sherpa and still couldn't make the barrier in time. Principally because he wont be running.

Hang on. So he is Authorized - thanks for the info  Thumb Up

I actually think he's a stayer of promise - but probably too dour for this class. Could see him running on into 4th or 5th though - reminds me of Moatize at the sametime. SA/Qld Derbies could be his go.

Ends up being quite an interesting race if the NZ Oaks winner and NZ Derby placegetter line up.

Good early money for the NZ Oaks winner Keep the Peace. Looks like she gets back in her races and runs on.

I think something raw might bob up for a placing, Landlocked ($15) the one I 'm looking at, looks like he will keep going and going. Another Zab too.

There will be worse bets than Bart's second stringer for the place.

Sherpa wouldn't be a bad place speculation I think.

I am a huge fan of Rock Classic as a race horse but he is a Fastnet Rock and was caught fair and square last time by a Zabeel. How will he turn the tides over an additional 400M? I've still taken him as a leg of the pick 6 and quaddie for no other reason than if anyone can make a sprinter run 2400 (or 3200) it is the King.

Fillies don't win Derbies and certainly not one from New Zealand. Keep the Pace won't beat home the good Colts but she may well run a place.

Shoot Out beat second rate runners home in the Guineas. The form race was the Guineas at Flemington as we saw the other week. Won't run a place and I doubt will even beat Keep the Pace home.

For mine, Zabrasive is the one to beat. That said, I wouldn't be discounting Count Encosta, nor Descarado and think the winner will certainly come from those three.

The more I look the more I think the race is devoid of too many chances.

Rock Classic
Shoot Out
Zabrasive
Count Encosta

I think Zabrasive could be a risk, while he is an out and out stayer, Derby winners normally have a turn of foot, something this bloke doesn't seem to have  chin

I'll save on him but going to play around with the other 3 for a result.
