It all depends on the grammer of the sentence - we need JWH or DD for an adjudication  lol

No she is 12 because you have to take the 5 years off the age she is now, therefore if she is eight now 8-5=3, then 8+2=10 not double the age she was 5 years ago....but 12-5=7, 12+2=14......

nah it doesn't.

if x = susie's age

then

x + 2 = 2(x - 5)

so

x + 2 = 2x - 10

then

2 = x -10

thus

x = 12

But if you interpret 5 years ago as 5 years from the age she gets to 2 years in the future then Magic is correct  wacko

Yep I agree the lass is 12. If she is 12, she was 7 five years ago, she will be 14 in two years which is twice as old as she was when she was 7 that was five years ago.
