These two races might have some say in horse of the year.

Enable is even money favourite in the turf race and Thunder Snow and Roaring Lion and not considered top chances in the dirt races.    Info from equibase.com

Great couple of days' racing.

BC Classic day is right up there with Arc day as the best single card of racing anywhere on the planet.

Significant rain forecast, which I'd guess would really piss Mendelssohn off after the Kentucky Derby debacle.

Enable handled very soft ground with aplomb when she won last year's King George, so it shouldn't worry her.

Not sure how the dirt track will play if it gets wet. A sealed track would normally favour the speed horses. For my throw at the stumps in the Classic, I'd go the Baffert pair,  McKinzie and West Coast.

Enable becomes the first horse to win the Arc and BC turf in the same year. Only beat Magical narrowly, but was never going to lose.

The others in the market, Waldgeist and last year’s winner, Talismanic, were never factors.

Roy H doubled up on last year with a facile victory in the Sprint.

Likewise Stormy Liberal in the Turf Sprint.

Monomoy Girl was brilliant in the distaff.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Expert Eye too was brilliant in the Mile.

Myboycharlie’s Sistercharlie beat the Euros in the F&M Turf.

EE and Enable provided a big double for Juddmonte and Franki Dettori.

Easing favourite Accelerate a handy winner in the Classic from a game Gunnevera and Thunder Snow.

Roaring Lion, a turf horse with a turf pedigree, never a factor. Not surprising really, given those factors and his busy season.

The horse that ran 3rd to Enable was 258.0 on Tattsbet and no 3rd div. Is that unusual?

Place pool was only $93. Maybe literally no-one had anything on it to run the drum?

Seems the tote divs for the winner for money back both win and place.

Whereas the runner up, the fixed odds second fav, paid $6.60 the place.

Wacky indeed.
