This dual Oaks winner just smashed her older rivals in the King George.

An on pacer, she'll be tough to beat in the Arc, which is run at Chantilly again this year.

The Eclipse winner, Ulysses, was a decent 2nd, given that he didn't seem to like the very soft track.

Highland Reel hated the wet ground, and ran okay for a well beaten 4th.

Jack Hobbs, who should have loved the ground, was disgraceful again. Just awful. Godolphin would be doing punters a favour by retiring him.

Have not seen a more impressive 3 year old this year, anywhere. Handles any ground and sustains a run. Will be short but hard to beat in the Arc.

She is the best 3 year old filly I have seen.

j.r.b, I wonder if Jack Hobbs is feeling the effects of being set for a first up kill in Dubai ?

He is just showing nothing in his finishing effort. He shaped on the bend like he was cruising and was going to make a super race of it with the wonder filly.

Dazzling performance was best in Europe this year

Enable's four-and-a-half length win over Ulysses was the best performance we’ve seen in Europe this year, according to Racing Post Ratings.

After victories in the English and Irish Oaks she had looked head and shoulders the best filly in training, but at Ascot she proved just as dominant against the older generation.

The dazzling success saw her peak RPR improve from 121 to 128, which makes her the leading horse in Europe this season and moves her clear at the head of the market for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at a general 2-1.

She was supremely impressive at Ascot, seeing off Highland Reel, Jack Hobbs and Ulysses in quick succession before storming away for a decisive victory.

This success ranks her among the better recent King George winners and places her among the top ten fillies or mares worldwide since 2000 on RPRs.

Having proved she handles a softer surface, the Arc is an obvious aim, although King George/Arc winners are rarer than you might expect, with only Dylan Thomas pulling off the double in the same season in the last 20 years.

Montjeu, Hurricane Run and Danedream achieved the reverse double by winning at Ascot the year after they won the Arc.

The Arc question for Enable is not whether she has the ability, but whether she can peak again in October after winning three major races in the summer.

Last year's European champion Almanzor remains second favourite for the French contest. He is set to make his delayed return to action at Deauville in two weeks’ time.

I've long felt that Jack Hobbs has been overrated by many.
No doubt he has ability but certainly no Frankel.

He won a handicap in such style as a 3 year old and the form out of that race is not bad, I thought he was a potential superstar. He proved himself a group 1 horse but not quite as good as originally hoped.

I must admit when I see breeding this close, it worries me........especially when it turns up a good one.

Some could think that the ability may come from the close Sadler's Wells blood but long term in any breeding situation, clean lines are better.
