Going to back D Whyte again here on Local Power, is an imported Volksrad horse from NZ having had just the one win from one start in NZ, and one start in HK for a 3rd

Reported this morning by Andrew Bensley that Fair Trade has been sold to Hong Kong for $1.3 million and will be trained by Casper Fownes.

Ambitious General in my opinion is way over the odds, in my opinion you take out his last start on dirt and he is second or 3rd favorite, not the second outsider of the field.

If the favorite is off his game than Ambitious General is as good chance as any of the others.

John Size has one in the next first up over 1400m. I like to double my bet when he sends them out over a 1400+ first up.

lets see todays late results. race 7 dazzling darren beadman on the $1.30 chance Packing Supreme, ran 3rd to a $122 bolter that had been thrashed by multiple lengths its last 3 runs, then the following race "the best miler in the world" good ba ba was $1.30 and beaten by $18 chance Egyptian Ra, then race 9 the following race the dazzler beadman sat on top of the unbeaten from 4 starts Happy Zero at $1.30 and it was UNPLACED, i wonder what the odds were of 3 consecutive $1.30 range horses being beaten ?

the ZAC PURTON factor kicked in hard, as does the Brett Prebble factor on a regular basis

I'm bleeding...I'm bleeding. I wanted to put two place bets on R2.

I was away for the Easter weekend so I  downloaded Centrebet mobile...went to my bets on first up this morning  - alas they weren't betting on R2 only R7 onwards....wtf!! I thought I'd ring back later...naturally I got sidetracked and didn't, naturally it ran a place and paid a double figure div.

Get yourself an IAS account if you're going to bet HK races regularly, they bet HK pries as their SuperPrice.

Noticed on the HK Tote they bet huge amounts on the Quinella and Quinella place(like UniTabs Any2). These pools are always larger than the Win Pool.

Weichong Marwing will take over from Darren Beadman when Dao Dao returns to Hong Kong racing in Sunday's Group One Champions Mile.

Beadman was on board when the five-year-old won the Listed Royal Parma at Rosehill on April 4 but is committed to John Moore's Hong Kong Derby winner, Collection, this weekend.

Dao Dao's co-trainer Michael Hawkes confirmed the booking of South African expat Marwing on Monday.

"We're happy to have him on board," Hawkes said.

"He has the experience here in Hong Kong and he'll suit the horse."

After impressing in Sydney, Dao Dao won four of eight starts in a Hong Kong stint that finished with an eighth behind Good Ba Ba in last year's Champions Mile, a race in which he struck severe interference.

"The horse has done well. It's great to be here with a horse you know is genuinely competitive. We're here to work, not for a holiday," Hawkes said.

Dao Dao and fellow Australian contender Niconero had leisurely workouts on the Sha Tin all weather surface on Monday.

Lizzie Jelfs, looking after Niconero for David Hayes, reported she had a "happy horse" on her hands after riding him.

Niconero won the 1600m Futurity Stakes and 2000m Australian Cup before finishing fourth in last month's Dubai Duty Free.

The Champions Mile and Queen Elizabeth II Cup over 2000m are the features on Sunday's Hong Kong card.

terrific race tonight - the mile - the proven superstar in good ba ba, vs the upcoming superstar apparently coming for cox - collection , throw in dao dao who is flying for hawkes (wish they ran him in all aged - i think wins) and eygptian ra who always ensures a solid tempo - and can run outstanding time - though i prefer at 1400 - can't wait
think i might have a little dao dao on the HK tote , nicernero flying and i consider a ew bet (hk tote again of course)- dubai run pretty good and think sha tin might suit
(never thought i'd give this horse a hope in this type of field - was always suspect on him - but perth, aussie cup and dubai - have finally conviced me )-
only takes multiple gp1's to prove your good apparently
