As much as I like Eric AKA Tourbillon Diamond, I would rather watch than take anything under $4 in tonight's Derby trial.

Just having a look at some of the opposition (a lot of sprinter's pedigrees) and noticed the Ex-Coolmore fellow Russian Emperor running on ok last start.
Since had a trial where he went head and head with last year's Derby runner-up Playa Del Puente.
Might be worth a little e/w
Don't know what the record would be of ex Coolmore gallopers record once they leave that place but it would be very poor.

Some nice racing today   emthup

R1 - (7) Untold Riches for ZP, went into the black book off his first up performance which was off two good trials, again off two good trials, no price but he looks the goods to me.

R3 - The Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup - some well performed types here, Southern Legend, Waikuku, Ka Ying Star, Champion's Way & Mighty Giant. I can't work it out so will be watching on. I'd probably have Ka Ying Star from Southern Legend but won't bet.

R5 - Thought I may have found one here in (3) Charity Grace but then the prices went up and everyone else had too     danger is JM's mount (2) Master Hero

R6 - (7) Lucky Fun. I do like a horse in form, up in class, down in weight in HK and he ticks the boxes.

R7 - The HK champ Golden Sixty goes around at the prohibitive odds of $1.3. Worth watching to see a horse with a great turn of foot.

R8 - Another on the AW track (1) Will Power on top, he'll be charging home. I've specc'd (11) We The South first go on the AW but will lead, has trialed well on the surface, granted has to go 1200m but he'll give a sight out in front.

R9 - The Hong Kong Classic Cup As nemisis has said, great race with many chances. Hard to split them 2,3,4&7. I've specc'd the (3) Lucky Express as he's the longest of the lot

R10 - (10) Beluga has had no luck with draws of recent times, 4 and 5 wide last start and still kicking out wide at the end. An luck in run of a wide draw (again FFS) and he'll be hard to beat. Saved on the (4) Flagship Glory

Heavily backed in the first and punctured badly turning for home, they went very hard up front but the two with him ran 1/2. Interesting to see the stewards report if something was amiss as on face value very disappointing.

Iíve backed the a Dragon to beat a golden Sixty & keen on Prime Minister in the last.

If he can get cover in the classic , Hapoy healthy will be in the finish at big odds

the 3 was stiff to my eye Gin

It was worse the 2nd time on replay Rats

Only had to hold his line and track up behind the leader and could have popped over heals, instead looked predetermined to try to get wider, running straight into a wall of horses all the while the gap was in front of him

There was probably others as that's the type of race it is, I'll have to watch it again for some other runs. Shadow Hero was better ridden off the pace, he's right in the Derby.

He didn't need cover Wily     pinched it in front   emthup  Hope you got a fill up.

We need to get together Wily.
I put  $10 e/w the Galileo ex Atlantic Jewel boy at $100 and $26......3 horses in Quinellas  with him but sadly no room for the Zoustar boy.  Quinella was $1100

Just put my bonus bet on the 5 in the last and where are you fours? ......even $2 e/w on Stoicism at $151 and $34.....what a good 4th and what a good night in Shatin

ZP managed to find the fence on Beluga only to mark time and lose momentum, finally darting through to nab 3rd.

One of those days when you wonder how you came up with donuts

Peter,

You were given the horse to back to and the method to use to get that first four dividend...... and even then you claim it is impossible - more or less sums you up.

...... and by your own hand.

HK race 1

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of UNTOLD RICHES, Z Purton stated that he had ridden the horse in its two barrier trials in the lead up to todayís race and he was satisfied with the manner in which it finished off those trials. He said at its most recent trial UNTOLD RICHES was inclined to lay in, but this did not cause him any concern. He said after beginning only fairly today, he rode his mount along in the early stages and UNTOLD RICHES was able to take up a forward position. He said whilst the race was run at a good tempo, RESOLUTE and HAPPY TANGO, which were racing to the inside and outside of UNTOLD RICHES respectively in the middle stages, were able to finish off their races, however, UNTOLD RICHES came under pressure passing the 400 Metres and then was inclined to lay in behind RESOLUTE. He said UNTOLD RICHES then commenced to give ground and when RESOLUTE was no longer racing to the inside of his mount, UNTOLD RICHES lay in badly. He added UNTOLD RICHES, when continuing to hang in, gave ground noticeably over the latter stages. He said whilst UNTOLD RICHES felt comfortable in its action and that the horseís condition gave out shortly after entering the Straight, having had so long between races, he felt that the horse was disappointing in the fact that it gave ground at the entrance to the Straight. He said after the race he could not detect any abnormalities with the horse and it appeared sound. A veterinary inspection of UNTOLD RICHES immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The performance of UNTOLD RICHES, favourite for todayís race, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, UNTOLD RICHES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Race 9  :tears:

LUCKY EXPRESS was badly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was steadied when unable to improve into tight running between LUCKY PATCH and CONQUEROR. In this incident, LUCKY EXPRESS bumped the hindquarters of CONQUEROR which became unbalanced. LUCKY EXPRESS then continued to be held up for clear running until passing the 200 Metres at which stage the horse was improving into very tight running between LUCKY PATCH and CONQUEROR.

Here's one for you tonight Pete.

R5 - 11 Infinite Power, finally draws a barrier, back to the 1000m off a 1200m run where he worked hard to cross from a wide draw, kicked into the straight and was only run over the last 100m where the jock went soft on him, will hold the lead from the inside and if he's not pestered too much for the lead will kick into the straight and give a sight.

I took $41 / $9 on B365 and currently still around $34

Worth a throw at the stumps with those odds.

R6 - the C1 over 1200m and Greatful Heart should get the gun run and prove hard to beat although he's well found at $2.9
