Bit like when I was a teenager been around it just not nailing top 3 in selections but despite main race being tough task there is a degree of confidence.
R8      1, 12, 3, 10, 4
R9      2, 3, 1, 9, 6
R10    6, 7, 5, 2, 1
R11    7, 8, 2, 10, 15
R12    6, 5, 1, 7, 11

A brutal start with Test the World going down in the closest of photos after looking the winner during the run.

And the brutality continues with Persian Knight going down narrowly in the big one.

Nice one, SW, blasting out in the last with Tateyama, available early at $8. 👍

I'm no linguist, but should your listeners infer from the 'you beauty' as they crossed the line that you may have had something on? 🤔

Japan Cup tomorrow. Put together a preview for those interested. Really looking forward to seeing if the filly Almond Eye can actually win the big prize.

Doesn't matter how good he is, a three -year-old filly winning that race is no mean feat.

I believe, at the same stage she has won the same major races as Gentildonna.  I suspect she is better than her.

I also suspect she is in the same class as Deep Impact.

SW, is this venue a long way from Tokyo? I had a look at the form and donít recognise any of the names from the recent G1s weíve been seeing.

Arima Kinen tomorrow, and what a race it looks on paper.

Plenty of Australian interest, J H Bowman on Cheval Grand and B Avdulla on Satono Diamond.

Both are rough hopes, according to the market - 22/1 and 17/1 respectively.

Rey de Oro is the very warm fav at 10/9.

Kiseki represents the Almond Eye/Japan Cup form, finishing 2nd there. He's a 4/1 chance.

My jockey racism system is not much good here - 6 visitors and can't back them all.

I'll need some assistance from our resident expert.

gates 13 to 16 have a terrible record of winning race so that eliminates one foreign jockey.  6 turns tighter track makes it hard for Kiseki to lead all the way. I have narrowed it down to Rey de Oro and Blast One Piece. and both jockeys have won the race 3 times. If rain stays away Mikki Rocket may fill 3rd  but as you have said there is a bit of quality here.

Despite coming from weAker formlines I give good exotic chances to the top 3 from those good barriers.
Kiseki looks to be in sterling form
Iíll box the 4

Superb work from our resident expert, tipping the quinella, with Blast Onepiece available at 10/1 fixed here with the TAB.

And as predicted, Kiseki just had to do too much work from the treacherous alley.

Great ride J H Bowman on Cheval Grand to sneak the hole.

Thrilling race.

A bit late  to the party, but the G1 Hopeful Stakes run a fortnight back at Nakayama is definitely worth a  look.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y15iESexUUM

The winner, Saturnalia, is by the superb Lord Kanaloa, sire of Almond Eye.

Mum is Cesario, who won the G1 American Oaks at the now destroyed Hollywood Park. She's thrown just the 2 other G1 winners, Epiphaneia (Japan Cup and Kikuka-shō) and Leontes (Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes).

Saturnalia is unbeaten in 3 starts.
