G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen 1200 18 runners.
Danon Smash son of Lord Kanaloa is not LK and no winning history left handed but can win. 2nd pick Mozu Superflare is another with no good runs left handed.
I will be looking at 2 value runners. Nac Venus and 9yr old Teehaff. Backing NV each way and Tee place. Will box fave with these two plus G1 performer Lets Go Donki.
Races 8, 9, 10 and 12 numbers will be on Tatts or should be.

Mr Melody too good.

Gives the late, great Scat Daddy this 27th Group or Grade 1 winner.

A really good field for the G1 Osaka Hai this weekend.

Blast Onepiece looks to continue his steep upward spiral. However, there is plenty of tough competition standing in his way.

What do you think of Kluger in the Doncaster?
Form seems very mixed but I suspect the runs around Isla Bonita give him a good chance

Not much. He hasn't won in 2 years and placed twice at G3 in the mean time.
He has some wet track form and does usually break with them.
If he places that would be a surprise but Japanese horses like him can occasionally cause an upset.
I would not back him.

His plus factor is the 53kg. Won't even feel Berry on his back.

Could another Almond Eye emerge from Sunday's G1 Oka Sho.  Danon Fantasy is the favorite but will be challenged.

4th placed finish by Kluger in Doncaster lived up to Berry's top 6 belief.

And for the first few hundred metres of the Oka Sho, we copped a split screen and the sound for a f*ckin’ flea taxi race from Mt Gambier. When it comes to coverage of international racing, Sky channel is the worst - internationally.

Lovely ride on the second fav by C P Lemaire - he knew he was on the best filly in the race and it showed.

Gran Alegria is a perfect example why the Japanese thoroughbred is so good these days. Katsumi Yoshida went to Kentucky to buy her multiple G1 winning dam, Tapitsfly (by Tapit) and paid US$1.85m for her. He then got her home, put her to Deep Impact, and voila. A gorgeous classic winning filly.

And normal service resumed for my jockey racism system.

3yr colt in next Sunday's Satsuki Sho might be the best Japanese horse going around and Lemaire gets to ride him. Saturnalia.

And he just happens to be by Lord Kanaloa ex Cesario, a top class G1 winning filly herself, and already the dam of the multiple G1 winning Epiphaneia and G1 winner Leontes.

Saturnalia is her third G1 winner from 8 foals to race.

Nice of Sky2 to split the screen for the Satsuki Sho.

We copped Pt Augusta behind the barriers, which of course was compulsory viewing, for the first half of the race.

Couldn't put that on Sky1, because we needed the full screen there to see them on their way to the barriers at Pakenham.

Unfortunately all governed by turnover. I found it interesting that they didnt bcst R8 in which I tipped the tri here and pools were less than
$500 on Tatts. Tri in Japan paid equivalent of $2,000 and I also tipped tri here R10.
