Certainly the best staying effort in the race. Probably the only one

Irish Derby tonight sees Saxon Warrior, odds on 4th behind Masar in The Derby, posted $1.80 in early markets.

The horse that beat him home, Dee Ex Bee (2nd) is $4.60.

Watching the replay you'd have to have a bit of "blind faith" in Saxon Warrior if you were to take the odds on because he was clearly outpointed and outstayed by Dee Ex Bee.

Double figures the rest headed by Godolphin's Old Persian who has won 5 from 8 with two placings.
